Many of our cottages offer exclusive membership to The Spinnaker Leisure Club. With it's own bar and bistro it is right at the heart of Windermere Marina Village, a mile south of Bowness, offering something for the whole family. The surroundings provide the perfect location in which to relax, exercise or just call in for a swim, coffee, bar snack or evening meal. We have chosen The Spinnaker for its friendly welcome to families with children, that it caters fully for all your leisure needs, offering convenient opening hours.

THE POOL & SPA

The Swimming Pool and Leisure Facilities are maintained at a comfortable temperature, so whatever the weather outside you can enjoy the relaxing atmosphere around the swimming pool, unwind in one of the two spa baths, the sauna and steam room or, for a small fee, top up your tan in the sun shower.

TRIMNASIUM & GAMES ROOM

For those with more energy a quick workout in the trimnasium is available using a selection of resistance equipment with staff on hand to give advice. Less energetic is the games area with pool and football table and an outside play area for children.

HEALTH, FITNESS & MASSAGE THERAPY

The club offers professional fitness assessment along with sports massage, stress relief, back treatment, aromatherapy and Swedish massage. You can call the club to pre-book and get costs.

CHAMPAGNE YACHT CRUISE

The club can arrange full or half day sailing of a luxury yacht on Lake Windermere under the tuition of trained crew. Call the club for reservations and availability.

COMMODORE BISTRO

The Commodore Bistro and Lounge Bar provides perfect surroundings to dine out or enjoy a sociable evening in the bar. The Bistro offers a wide range of freshly prepared food and meals all day, from breakfast right through until the evening.

YOUR MEMBERSHIP

Guests will have free use of the pool area, the whirlpool, sauna and steam room. Use of the gym is also free. Use of the club is Monday to Friday during the period of April 3rd through to October 30th, then for the winter months of November to March seven days a week to accommodate short breaks.

Opening times are 7.30am to 8.30pm with a last entry time of 8,10pm. Times may vary over the Christmas period. The club closes for maintenance from Jan 6th to Jan 17th. Those under 12 yrs must be accompanied by an adult.

Terms of our membership are the same as normal full membership and you may have to make reservations for any of the treatments, at the club’s tariff. When you use the club you will be expected to read understand and abide by their rules and conditions.

Should the facility become or be unavailable for whatsoever reason, neither the club or the Lakeland Cottage Company will be liable for compensation. Please note leisure club contracts run January to January. We do not guarantee membership will be retained for any bookings after this date even though paperwork may be issued.
